Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Are you an experienced Plant Controller looking for a stable, long-term opportunity? We have an exciting role available for an Afternoon Shift Plant Controller to join a dynamic team. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers an immediate start for the right candidate.
About the Role:
The Plant Controller is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Energy Plant, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining a strong focus on safety, environmental compliance, and equipment utilisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment:
- Operate equipment safely and optimise plant performance.
- Monitor plant conditions through HMI interface and troubleshoot production issues.
- Adhere to company policies, ensuring zero Lost Time Injuries (LTI).
- Implement safety procedures, including Lock-Out-Tag-Out.
- Report all incidents or near misses and take corrective actions.
Operations:
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets, accurately recording data.
- Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and pre/post-operational checks.
- Identify and resolve potential production issues to minimise downtime.
- Assist with plant maintenance when required.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure correct processing of products.
- Perform additional tasks within skill range as needed.
Leadership:
- Identify and report potential plant improvements to the supervisor.
- Oversee plant operations, collaborating with supervisors and other employees.
About You:
- Experience operating PLC/HMI systems.
- Emergency response and/or fire response training.
- Experience with asbestos identification and handling (advantageous).
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.
