Description:
Company DescriptionWild Calm Therapies is a unique private practice based in Hobart and online. We provide specialised individual counseling for adults and professional supervision for the sector. Our client base is predominantly womxn wanting to take charge of their lives more, the LGBTIQ+ community and health and social services professionals. We are an established practice with a trusted reputation in the community. We pride ourselves on minimal marketing and have steadily relied on word of mouth and recommendations, and have a very high return rate of past clients returning when they desire further support.Therapists typically see up to 6 clients (max) per day with short breaks booked between sessions for the therapist's self-care. This is an organic, gradual build as you are promoted to the public and people are drawn to your offerings. Quality over quantity of client sessions is prioritised. We run as a virtual practice, including virtual Admin Team Support, due to our remote working and hybrid models. At Wild Calm Therapies we highly value who the therapist is as a person and value lived experiences in relation to our typical client groups (use of self is key, your authentic presence is crucial). It is important to us to uphold and offer diversity - we strongly encourage diverse cultural, gender, age and ability applicants.
Wild Calm Therapies leads with heart and connection first. We model being real. This means we’re ok owning being imperfect. We practice balancing normalising this transparently while holding a grounding, containing position of expertise and experience in our specialty areas. We use strong trauma-embedded practice, Intersectional Feminist lens, Critical Anti-Systemic lens, and Family Violence Frameworks and Best Practice Models.
