id="job_description_1_0">ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.
- Full time Handyperson - 4 days on 3 days off - 10 hours per day - Salary of $75,060
- Drive In Drive Out for locals of Zeehan, Queenstown, Strahan or Rosebery
- On site Recreational facilities
The Position
- Maintain vehicle equipment and machinery
- Maintain Shed & storage areas inclusive of chemicals
- Prepare surfaces for painting/ painting surfaces
- Maintain site grounds & gardens
- Receive & store materials safely & securely
- Perform ADHOC duties required by managers
- Provide flexible & responsive handyperson service to facility & surroundings
- Adhere to all safety & security policies and procedures
- Plan & execute tasks safely & efficiently
- Rubbish removal
The Person
- Forklift license desirable
- First Aid Certificate desirable
- Physically fit & reliable
- Experience in general maintenance
- Comfortable undertaking a pre-employment medical/ drug screen
- Current drivers’ license and own transport
- Good knowledge of power tools & gardening equipment
- The ability to work in extreme remote conditions
- Team player and be flexible to work in all departments
