Job DescriptionClisby Engineering Pty Ltd is a broad-based engineering company established in Adelaide in 1945. Clisby Engineering specialises in the design, fabrication, sales and service of process and rotating equipment as well as tubular products and has fabrication and engineering facilities in Australia, Malaysia and Indonesia. Clisby Engineering provides a range of services and equipment required for the development of energy and mining infrastructure throughout Australia including hydrocarbon gathering and transmission networks, air and gas compressors, produced water filtration, air drying, and accessories.
We are seeking an Engineering Technician to join our Industrial Division to support our teams with technical support tasks. This will be a permanent full-time position. About the position: Located in our western suburbs head office, your duties will include but not be limited to the following:
- The design of special-build air compressors, with variants in pressure, flow, drive and control.
- The assembly of air compressor packages, pumps and associated equipment including dryers and filtration.
- Provide technical support and fault finding
- Assisting the BDM and Service Adviser in quotations, costings, service agreements and parts availability.
- Sharing knowledge through training other staff in product knowledge, best practice and providing support and guidance when required
- Ensure quality control and customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with
Work Health and Safety and other legislation and codes of practice in accordance with company procedures
- This role may require travel for short-term projects, both onshore and offshore.
About you:
- Minimum of post-secondary qualifications at trade or certificate level in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Mechanical aptitude, hands on tools and knowledge of technical parts
- Proven ability to develop and document air compressor system designs
- Strong skills in the general maintenance, breakdown and diagnostics
- Be articulate in English language, be well-presented and diplomatic, with the ability to foster good working relationships and an ability to relate to staff and customers of all age groups and from diverse cultural and social backgrounds
- Be computer literate in office and technical applications
- Possess a strong work ethic, be punctual, reliable and efficient.
- Positive attitude and ability to follow directions.
- Strong focus on safety and quality.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role
- Tertiary qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Driver's Licence
- First Aid certificate
- Advanced skills in electro-mechanical engineering design
- High level skills in associated unrestricted electrical works
- Some knowledge of international best practice in the industry
- Awareness of diverse cultural backgrounds
- Language skills other than in English
