Site Supervisor
  • 6 months initial contract with possible extension
  • Based in Perth, St George's Terrace, with 80% travel
  • Experienced in rail or telecom projects, managing safety, quality, and schedules
Our client is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee infrastructure works, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery. This role involves managing sub-contractors, resolving on-site issues, coordinating teams, and maintaining compliance with project schedules and client expectations.
Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary contact for sub-contractors regarding site-related matters, including construction issues, design changes, and issuing Confirmation of Verbal Instructions (CVI).
  • Liaise with the Client’s construction representatives on all site activities.
  • Oversee daily sub-contractor operations, ensuring progress across multiple work sites is monitored and controlled effectively.
  • Track site progress against the project schedule and report any delays promptly to management.
  • Provide direction to sub-contractors as needed to maintain alignment with project objectives.
  • Deliver regular updates on site progress and activities to management as required.
  • Review and verify sub-contractor progress reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality, construction methods, and safety standards are met.
  • Resolve quality deficiencies within agreed timeframes to meet client and project expectations.
  • Assess and approve High Risk Activity Permits.
  • Participate in site meetings such as prestart briefings, safety sessions, and toolbox talks when available.
  • Report hazards or incidents to internal teams and clients as necessary.
  • Collaborate with design and logistics teams on site-specific requirements.
  • Work flexible shifts, including both day and night shifts (50/50 split, adjustable based on preference).

Skills required:
  • Protection Officer Certification (Mandatory).
  • RIW Card (Rail Industry Worker Card) (Mandatory).
  • Strong experience in a supervisory role within construction or rail projects.
  • Familiarity with rail environments and safety protocols is advantageous.
  • Experience in telecommunications projects is a plus.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental protocols relevant to network operators.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational abilities.
  • Leadership and coordination skills to manage sub-contractor performance effectively.
