Vestas Wind have released an exciting new position and are looking for an enthusiastic Marketing & Communications Manager to join our team in Melbourne.

This dynamic role will lead a variety of marketing and communications activities across Vestas Australia and New Zealand, with a primary focus on the Australia market.

Responsibilities

  • Media Management : Oversee media relations, develop press materials, and build strong relationships with journalists to increase brand visibility. Coordinate media campaigns and manage media inquiries.
  • Events Management : Plan and execute a variety of Vestas-led customer engagement activities, along with involvement in several key renewable energy industry conferences. Ensure seamless coordination from concept to delivery, aligning with overall marketing goals.
  • Social Media : Develop and implement integrated social media strategies across Vestas key channels, specifically creating engaging content to drive brand awareness and audience engagement. Monitor trends and performance, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Internal Communications : Occasionally support internal communications efforts, including internal executive staff announcements, and social activities to foster a positive organizational culture.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications is considered a plus. Minimum of 5-10 years in marketing, communications, or public relations, with a proven track record in media management, social media strategy, and event planning. Work experience in renewable energy or energy industries will be considered a plus. Very strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences. Solid understanding of media relations, public relations strategies, and crisis communication. Event management experience, from planning to execution, with a focus on detail and logistics. Proficient in social media platforms, digital marketing tools, and content creation. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong leadership and team collaboration skills, with an ability to frequently work alongside executive leadership team members. Creative thinker with a proactive, results-driven mindset. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment. A genuine interest in renewable energy, and a desire to understand complex technical frameworks, operations and subject matter.
