Your new role
Join our Investigations unit as a Senior Investigator on a full-time, ongoing basis. Reporting to a Manager, Investigations and working in a multi-disciplinary team, Senior Investigators conduct complex investigations in accordance with relevant legislation and IBAC policies and procedures.
As a Senior Investigator, you will be involved in:
* Developing and implementing investigative plans and strategies outlining the process, parameters, timelines and outputs consistent with the Investigation Unit's policies and procedures.
* Preparing for and conducting interviews to determine further actions based on the information.
* Taking a lead role in the obtaining and execution of search warrants as well as the seizure of exhibits in accordance with procedures and legislation
* Preparing complex written materials including affidavits, briefs of evidence, internal reports and other documents using evidence collated and interpreted during investigations.
* Developing risk plans for investigations and implement solutions to overcome external barriers which may impede the investigation process.
* Providing guidance, advice, and support to less experienced Investigators within the investigative team to assist them in effectively conducting investigations.

Our requirements / Your skill set
We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities:
* Formal qualifications and/or training in investigations, law enforcement, or a related discipline is essential.
* Broad experience in the conduct of serious and complex investigations.
Please note that due to the requirement to attain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance candidates must be an Australian citizen at the time of application.
