Applications are invited from highly motivated professionals with experience working with East Gippsland's Aboriginal community to join our dedicated and respected Aboriginal Health team at BRHS. This is a great opportunity to progress your career within a large and multifaceted organisation.
The position: Ongoing, Part-Time 64.0 hours per fortnight
In this position you will join our Aboriginal Health team who are dedicated to ensuring the provision of culturally responsive services for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and their families at BRHS. You will help patients and families with their understanding of the health service, their condition and treatment options as well as using your knowledge of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations to assist with coordination of care and support services upon discharge.

What you need:
- A qualification in Community services/development, Aboriginal Health or substantial relevant experience.
- Experience working in the East Gippsland Aboriginal community
- A good understanding and knowledge of the local Aboriginal culture and community
- A strong commitment to social justice with demonstrated ability to advocate on behalf of clients
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
