About the role
As an Education Specialist at Cbus, you'll be at the forefront of Cbus' value strategy helping to increase our members knowledge and understanding of our products - to ensure they make informed choices - leading to better outcomes for their retirement. This role will also work towards the retention and growth aspirations of the Fund.
Reporting to the Manager, Seminars & Support, you'll be responsible for the delivery of Cbus' retirement education program, presenting tailored education seminars to support, engage and educate our members, in addition to strengthening our relationships with them. You'll be required to maintain and update our existing seminars as well as developing new content and strategies to better engage and educate our members. This role focuses on educating existing members; however, it will also support in growing new business by providing education and assistance to potential members, with targeted employers - in person and via digital channels.
Please note this position has flexible hours; however, it will require occasional out of work hours to deliver seminars in the evening as well as regional and interstate travel at times.
Key Accountabilities
- Present tailored education seminars to support, engage and educate our members in person and via virtual channels
- Maintain and update presentations to ensure they are current and compliant
- Develop new topics, content and strategies to better engage and educate our members on Cbus offerings
- Support the onboarding process of new members with new employers to increase white collar membership growth
- Drive engagement through education tailored to key life stages and in support of the marketing strategy
- Generate referrals to other Cbus channels to increase member understanding of their options to make informed choices
What will you bring?
- Experience in a similar Education Specialist, Education Manager or Relationship Manager role in Superannuation or Finance
- Proven experience presenting member education and general advice seminars with a detailed understanding of finance advice principles
- RG146 compliant (or a commitment to complete this qualification within first few weeks of employment)
- Passion for Superannuation, Education and delivering great member experiences
- Knowledge of retirement planning, the Aged Pension and available Centrelink options (beneficial)
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to adapt your style to a range of audiences and stakeholders
