Role Description
This is a full-time Finance Manager role located in West Melbourne, VIC. The Finance Manager will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. They will also oversee financial strategy, management of financial risks, and financial compliance. This role will require on-site presence for day-to-day financial operations.
A critical component of this role involves comprehensive payroll management, including ensuring compliance with all relevant pay requirements, awards, conditions, and entitlements. Candidates with a strong understanding of payroll practices, particularly within the construction industry, are strongly preferred. Familiarity with construction awards, site allowances, overtime structures, and other industry-specific payroll considerations is essential for success in this position.
Qualifications
- Financial Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Reporting skills
- Strong knowledge of payroll management, including award interpretation, compliance, and construction-specific pay conditions
- Knowledge of financial compliance and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Relevant certifications such as CPA or CFA are a plus
