The Opportunity
Our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Coordinator in our Hot Strip Mill team based in Port Kembla . As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.
In this business-critical role, you will coordinate and execute both preventative and routine maintenance work and attend to plant electrical challenges, while also coordinating trade personnel and contractors to deliver a cost-effective, quality focused and flexible maintenance function to the Hot Strip Mill.
What Will You Do?
As the electrical maintenance coordinator, you will:
- supervise the day-to-day management of plant maintenance activities, including planning, organising, execution and review of maintenance
- coordinate and provide technical support to the maintenance resources within the section
- coach, mentor and develop maintenance personnel in manufacturing excellence principles and process, particularly around root cause and problem analysis and the development and execution of corrective actions
- participate in cost reduction and capital upgrade projects
- respond to the day-to-day electrical availability and reliability issues
- assist in the management, reporting and tracking of your own allocated budget
- collaborate with key stakeholders to address technical challenges and improve equipment reliability
- stay updated on industry best practice, and relevant emerging technologies
More About You
As an experienced electrical maintenance coordinator, you will have sound leadership experience, work effectively in cross-functional groups, and thrive in a team environment. You will also have:
- electrical trade qualifications, or an advanced diploma in electrical engineering
- experience working with AC/DC motor drives and
- experience with PLC Systems and drives
- exposure with calibrating and conducting maintenance to instrumentation equipment
- demonstrated leadership experience
- experience in a heavy industrial environment
