Your New Role - Business Development Manager
The Business Development Manager will report to the Queensland Manager and will be responsible for building and developing relationships with potential clients through the provision of excellent customer service and
extensive business knowledge
We are actively seeking a full-time, dedicated, energetic, and experienced Business Development Manager to join the team.
- Developing and/or following sales strategy and target account listing
- Building and developing relationships with potential clients
- Following up on potential business opportunities and securing appointments to discuss their freight forwarding requirements & identifying solutions
- Preparing and submitting quotations
- Preparing and delivering effective presentations
- Closing business deals and providing an effective handover to Team Leads / operations depts.
- Managing the follow up of service failures / client complaints utilising the QHSE system
- Traveling to various client bases throughout Australia, as required
- Providing excellence in customer service ensuring repeat business
What you will need to succeed:
I would love to speak to individuals who bring experience from the Freight Forwarding sector. The ideal candidates should demonstrate the following qualifications:
- At least 3+ years' minimum experience in a Business Development role
- Advanced negotiation and relationship skills
- Experience influencing and engaging key stakeholders at various seniority levels within client organisations
- Strong financial expertise
- Positive and professional attitude
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
- High attention to detail and strong planning and organising skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
