VDI Australia is a leader in sustainable transport solutions, driving innovation in the bus and coach industry. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist with a primary focus on email marketing, content development, and CRM integration to build structured, high-performing email workflows that nurture leads and engage customers. This role will be instrumental in building the email marketing channel and integrating with other channels for a seamless communications experience to improve our brand reputation.
This role will also support performance marketing efforts, but the priority is developing and iterating email campaigns based on data insights to enhance communication, nurture relationships, and drive meaningful customer engagement that leads to conversions. The role is based in Eagle Farm.
About the role
This role is ideal for someone who has deep expertise in email marketing and automation, strong content development skills, and a data-driven approach to improving marketing performance. You will be responsible for setting up, managing, and optimizing email campaigns, working closely with our CRM, marketing automation tools, website, and other channels to create a seamless communication experience that builds trust, nurtures relationships, and enhances customer engagement.
You’ll collaborate with our National Marketing Manager and other departments' stakeholders to refine lead nurturing strategies, design structured email flows, and leverage insights to enhance audience segmentation. Some of the key responsibilities will be but not limited to -
- Email Marketing & CRM (Top Priority)
- Develop and manage email marketing campaigns including automated sequences, lead nurturing, and retention workflows.
- Write compelling email content with a strong focus on engagement, storytelling, and conversion.
- Design structured email templates, ensuring high readability and mobile responsiveness.
- Manage and refine segmentation strategies to personalize messaging and increase open rates and conversions.
- Monitor and iterate on email performance (open rates, CTRs, conversions) using A/B testing and audience insights.
- Ensure compliance with opt-in regulations (GDPR, Spam Act, etc.).
- Integrate forms and fields between the website, CRM (Pipedrive), and email marketing platform to streamline lead management

Essential Skills & Experience:
- Marketing Technology Expertise – Proven experience with email automation, CRM integrations, and website data tracking to drive seamless marketing execution.
- Email Marketing & Automation – Proficiency in Mailchimp or similar platforms, with expertise in segmentation, workflow automation, and compliance best practices.
- Content Development & Copywriting – Ability to craft high-performing, conversion-driven email content that resonates with audiences.
- Data-Driven Optimisation – Strong analytical skills to interpret email performance metrics, test variations, and refine campaigns for better engagement.
- Email Design & UX – Skilled in structuring, refining, and optimising email templates to enhance user experience and engagement.
- HTML Email Development – Ability to build, customise, and troubleshoot HTML emails for improved branding, deliverability, and cross-platform consistency.
- CRM & Email Integration – Experience in integrating email marketing platforms with CRM tools such as Pipedrive or HubSpot to streamline customer interactions.
- Lead Nurturing & Retention – Expertise in developing strategies that foster long-term customer relationships and align with business growth objectives.
