We’re seeking a dedicated Casual Services Assistant to support the daily functions of the Cummins Health Service. In this varied role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining cleanliness, preparing food, and supporting housekeeping tasks, all while ensuring that the highest standards of service are met.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform minor sewing repairs and assist with laundry duties, including washing, sorting, ironing, and delivering linen and uniforms.
- Carry out routine cleaning tasks, including high window cleaning and shampooing carpets.
- Assist in food preparation by cutting ingredients, reconstituting meals, and plating food to meet dietary requirements.
- Service, plate, and deliver meals to clients, addressing food complaints to the supervisor when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and safety.
What We’re Looking For :
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to a variety of work settings.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Flexible and reliable with the ability to meet deadlines and changing work schedules.
- Basic knowledge of food safety, infection control, and housekeeping practices.
- Previous experience in housekeeping, catering, or laundry is a bonus but not essential.
