Description:
The purpose of this position is to provide high quality written ministerial and executive support services to the Commissioner and the Office of the relevant Minister, currently the Minister for Housing and Public Works and Minister for Youth.Key Outcomes And Accountabilities
The aim of this role is to:
- Ensure effective working relationships are maintained between the QBCC management and staff, as well as staff in counterpart sections of both the Office of the relevant Minister and the Department of Housing and Public Works.
- Ensure high standards are maintained in regard to the production of Ministerial and executive briefs, parliamentary documents, reports and correspondence. Contribute to maintaining a Ministerial correspondence registry, including undertaking task management and administrative tasks.
- Draft and coordinate the production of high-level correspondence, briefing notes, reports and responses on behalf of the QBCC.
- Ensure written responses are of a high standard, are fit-for-purpose and delivered within specified or agreed timeframes.
- Develop content which is complete, accurate and meets the standards of clarity and brevity consistent with procedures, set style guides and writing protocols.
- Ensure confidential and sensitive information is managed appropriately.
- Work as part of a team to deliver timely and high quality work which sets standards across the organisation.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all staff of the QBCC and external customers.
- Well-developed writing skills and the ability to prepare briefing notes and high-level executive correspondence, reports and submissions.
- Customer and solutions focused, sound interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively and to manage sensitive issues and convey information in a constructive and professional way.
- Constructively contribute to the work group to achieve outcomes and effective working relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to set own priorities and evaluate quality and timeliness of responses while working under strict deadlines.
