Cochlear’s global headquarters are on the campus of Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia with regional headquarters in Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas. Through our offices in over 180 countries we help people of all ages to hear.

Cochlear is hiring for an enthusiastic Project Manager, Systems based at our Macquarie Park Office. As a Project Manager, Systems you will lead the design, development, and market launch of complex systems, ensuring they meet both customer and business needs. The position offers significant collaboration across various teams and focuses on integrating systems and best practices within the organisation.

Key Accountabilities

• Managing the design and development of large, complex systems from conception to market launch.
• Leading planning and execution to ensure seamless product integration.
• Overseeing project scope, schedules, clinical validation, and regulatory approval.
• Managing financial forecasting to ensure project objectives are met within budget.
• Inspiring the project team to pursue excellence and meet project goals.
• Tracking project lessons learned and sharing insights with other team members.

Key Incumbent Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science.
• Strong communication skills across various settings.
• Proven experience in stakeholder management at a senior level.
• A minimum of 5 years in project management or leadership roles within engineering or medical device sectors.
• Knowledge of system design, components, and architecture.
• Strategic thinking and business acumen.
• Experience in multidisciplinary project management (Ideal)
• Experience in medical device development, specifically implants (Ideal)
• An MBA or equivalent management qualification (Ideal)
