Position InformationKillarney Heights High School is a comprehensive co-educational school with a population of 1020 students, 43% EALD, located 20 minutes from the Sydney CBD in a bushland setting near the northern beaches of Sydney. Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach PHP - PD/Health/PE, CFS - Community and Family Studies and SLR - Sport, Lifestyle and Recreation/Physical Activity and Sport.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver rigorous teaching and learning programs incorporating evidence-based teaching strategies including formative assessment and explicit teaching.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the capacity to build strong workingrelationships with staff, students, parents and the wider school community.
- Capacity to implement whole school Positive Behaviour for Engaged Learning framework toconsistently to manage student wellbeing and behaviour.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
