Alphacrucis University College (AC) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Lecturer in Early Childhood Education to join our dynamic team on a casual/part-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the academic development of future Early Childhood Educators and Teachers in a Christ-centred higher education institution.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Lecturer in Early Childhood Education, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering engaging and enriching learning experiences for our students, equipping them to become confident and competent educators. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing innovative and engaging teaching and assessment materials.
- Facilitating interactive tutorials and workshops tailored to diverse student groups.
- Assessing student learning and providing timely feedback.
- Maintaining course records and monitoring student engagement and progress.
- Utilising appropriate technologies to enhance student-centred learning environments.
- Providing academic support to students and directing them to relevant support services.
- Managing unit updates and contributing to accreditation and quality assurance processes.
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless unit coordination.
- Actively participating in the AC community and contributing to a high-performing multidisciplinary education team.
- Building and maintaining strategic relationships with industry and professional associations.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Qualifications & Experience
- A Master's Degree or PhD in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution.
- Early Childhood Teaching and Leadership/Management experience (preferably Australian) with current research in the field.
- Experience in successful higher education teaching, with demonstrated scholarly and professional achievement.
Knowledge & Skills
- Current knowledge of the Early Childhood Education sector and Australian Higher Education system.
- Proficiency in using learning management systems (Moodle) and other relevant software.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

- Understanding of the mission of higher education within the church.
- Commitment to student success and academic excellence.
- A current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
