Job Title: Junior Graphic Designer

ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you in the early stages of your graphic design career and eager to make an impact in one of the fastest-growing media sectors?
We’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic designer who takes pride in their work and thrives on bringing creative ideas to life. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with a variety of stakeholders to create visually compelling designs that simplify messages for the Out of Home industry’s national peak body.
Working closely with our Graphic Designer, senior management and marketing teams, you will leverage your expertise in typography, layout, and art direction to craft engaging designs across diverse media. You will be the guardian of the Outdoor Media Association’s (OMA) brand and style guides, ensuring all design work is aligned with the brands integrity and consistency.
This position is based in our East Sydney office and is suitable for a recent graduate or an emerging designer with 1-2 years of experience looking to develop their skills in a dynamic industry. You’ll play a key role in shaping OMA’s brand and messaging while working alongside a passionate team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support marketing projects to ensure timely and successful delivery
- Develop visually engaging marketing materials, including presentations, newsletter, eDMs, social media content (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook etc.)
- Support the team in executing both print and digital collaterals for various campaign and projects
- Create final artwork aligned with media specifications
- Assist with copy writing
- Maintain brand integrity, acting as a guardian of the OMA’s style guides
- Assist with brand design, and merchandise ordering
- Support internal and external events
- Ensure consistently high service standards are delivered to members and stakeholders
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- Tertiary qualifications in graphic design or equivalent industry experience.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly inDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Experience designing marketing eDMs in the HubSpot CRM platform is preferred.
- Experience designing visual contents for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook & LinkedIn).
- Experience in basic animation graphics and video editing is a plus
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- A proactive mindset, ready to contribute ideas, take direction and feedback.
- Impeccable attention to detail and a strong eye for aesthetic composition

ABOUT THE OMA
The OMA is the national peak industry body that represents companies that display advertisements, own signs, and provide services to the industry.
