This is a new role created due to company growth. You will setup and run a new Fabrication & Coatings Workshop manufacturing our high-performance products.

The Role

You will lead our Fabrication & Coatings Workshop. You will setup a new facility (3000-5000m2) to grow our manufacturing capabilities and capacity. This will be a modern workshop covering fabrication, coatings & linings for our high-performance products. You will recruit your A-Team including capable supervisors to run the workshop shop floor (40-50 people). You will setup new equipment and processes with the support of our manufacturing engineering team. You will be making our engineered high-performance products that are 100% made-to-order. We don’t do low-margin contract work for outsiders; we only make our own products.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

You will be reporting to our highly capable and motivated Operations Director. You will be collaborating with other teams across our Brisbane facilities including production control, product engineering, and manufacturing engineering. This is an opportunity to setup a new workshop, with the right equipment and layout, with the right A-player team, and the right processes, from the start.

Beaver Process Equipment specialises in the design and manufacture of slurry transfer technology for the mining industry. It currently has a team of 110 and is growing at a rate of 40 per year. It has two existing facilities: Perth (approx. 4200m2 office/workshop) and Brisbane (approx. 5100m2 office/workshop).

We are looking for a Workshop Manager with significant fabrication & coatings experience. You will be a strong leader that good people want to work for. The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

· Strong experience running fabrication workshops (min. 10+ years).

· Ideally – coatings and linings experience (blast, spray, casting).

· Ideally – pipe spool fabrication experience.
