An opportunity has arisen for an Emergency Services Officer to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. In this role, you will report to the Senior Health, Safety & Training Advisor and work on an 8:6 roster.
Your focus will be on managing the ERT and coordinating emergency response, prevention, and preparedness onsite.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing 24/7 emergency response, leading medical, fire, and rescue efforts.
- Ensuring emergency plans, equipment, and personnel are always ready.
- Inspecting, auditing, and maintaining emergency equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
- Training the ERT, ensuring compliance and an up-to-date roster.
- Enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards, while assisting with risk assessments, investigations, and reporting.
- Conducting workplace inspections, reviewing emergency plans, and liaising with external emergency services.
Our ideal candidate will have strong experience in a similar role, such as underground mine rescue, emergency response, or the fire service.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
- A working knowledge of the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations and Act as they apply to emergency response.
- Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue (Surface and Underground) or an equivalent qualification.
- Drug and Alcohol Testing qualification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- A Medium Rigid (MR) driver’s licence.
