About the opportunity:
Position: Switchboard Administrator
Vacancy: Casual (3 x positions available)
Location: Switchboard & Interpreter Services Unit, Townsville University Hospital
About the role:
Efficiently operate switchboard equipment by responding professionally to all incoming calls to the hospital, ensuring that the caller is transferred or redirected correctly and in a timely manner.
Perform general administrative duties to contribute to the effective daily operations of the Switchboard & Interpreter Services Unit. This will include maintenance of on-call information for medical and allied health staff.
Communicate regularly with all departments of the hospital to maintain accurate and current records for effective switchboard operations.
Provide basic level support of digital enhanced cordless telecommunication (DECT) and pager equipment for hospital staff.

Enjoy a generous casual rate of: $48.51 to $53.95 p.h. (AO3)

Requirements:
This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
