A part-time (2 days a week—Monday and Tuesday) position in the Research and Education team focused on customer support is available at Supreme Court Library Queensland (SCLQ). This is a permanent role.

Under the direction of the Customer Services and Research Manager, the Customer Services Support Officer assists with a variety of information and customer services functions including answering simple legal research requests, maintaining customer information and providing high quality, professional administrative support services.
Scope of the role
- Assist with the delivery of information services, including answering simple legal research request, undertaking document digitisation and processing loans
- Assist with general library space maintenance
- Assist with maintaining customer information (including membership records of the Australian Chapter of the Selden Society), compiling mailing lists for information services campaigns and auditing customer eligibility for information services
- Assist with the maintenance of the library’s judicial profiles collection
- Assist with planning and implementation of special projects associated with information services as required
- Assist with the measurement of information services and compilation of data for reporting purposes
- Provide professional and confidential executive support for the library’s subcommittees
- Provide input into the development and maintenance of effective administrative systems and procedures, including documentation of processes
- Proactively manage personal workload and competing priorities
- Take personal responsibility to deliver agreed outcomes, demonstrating and fostering professional and ethical behaviour, and committing to personal development
- Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, customers and key stakeholders
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, including identifying potential efficiencies and enhancements in collection management and information services functions
Remuneration is competitive: from $69,440 (pro rata for part-time) depending on skills and experience (plus leave loading and superannuation). Working conditions are flexible and family friendly. This is a job-share role and the required work days are Monday and Tuesday.
