Description:
The Principal Project Officer key responsibilities are:
• Develop, manage, and implement projects and coordinate reporting on associated deliverables that support the effective delivery of services relevant to the business unit.
• Coordinate day-to-day operations to deliver on project outcomes that support the department's strategic objectives and priorities.
• Undertake research, strategic analysis and provide advice and recommendations on complex operation program, policy, intergovernmental and legislative issues relating to the projects and initiatives delivered by the business unit.
• Develop and maintain effective partnerships and provide high level strategic liaison, consultation, and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders to drive and deliver programs of work and initiatives related to Disability Reform in Queensland.
• Prepare a range of written materials including cabinet submissions, executive correspondence, briefing material, speech notes, presentations and information papers concerned with the programs and initiatives delivered by the business unit for a broad audience, including but not limited to stakeholder engagement functions activities for Cabinet, the Minister, senior departmental management and public and private sector stakeholders.
• Develop appropriate data collection and reporting mechanisms to streamline processes to support the smooth and continuous operation of the PMO.
• Provide high level advice and direction in relation to Disability Services initiatives and policies through the analysis of trends and patterns in data.

Mandatory and/or desirable requirements
Experience working with data systems such as Power BI and the broad scope of Sharepoint functionality or similar systems for reporting purposes will be highly regarded.
