AMS Group are charged with safeguarding and supporting Australia’s (and Asia-Pacific’s) critical infrastructure and provide mission critical services and solutions in the technology, infrastructure, security, marine pilotage, marine operations, and search and rescue domains.

To do this, we are looking for several truly amazing NOC Operators for our newest expansion the National Operations Centre (NOC) . AMSG’s NOC serves as a crucial 24/7 response interface, providing vital operational support to ensure the success of our critical service lines, with a particular emphasis on maritime operations, including marine pilotage. While our focus is on marine operations, we welcome applicants from diverse operational backgrounds who are eager to contribute their skills and passion to our dynamic team.
This entry-level role entails working on a rotating roster, encompassing shifts during days, nights, and weekends. Upon appointment, extensive training will be provided, followed by ongoing support and development as you become an integral part of our team.
To be successful, the candidate will ideally have:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and address inquiries.;
- Strong problem-solving abilities to tackle challenges swiftly and efficiently;
- Proficiency in computer skills, essential for navigating various systems and platforms.
- A determined drive to succeed coupled with a genuine eagerness to learn and grow.
- High attention to detail & the ability to work well under pressure;
- Excellent time management skills; and
- Attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritise with an operational and safety focus.
Flexibility is key, as you'll be required to undertake varying hours, including shifts of up to 12 hours, weekends, public holidays, and on-call duties as necessary.
Requirements of the Role:
- Coordinating Marine Pilotage operations within the Port of Brisbane with a focus on achieving pilot on board expectations
- Answering inbound calls and responding to customer inquiries;
- Making outbound calls to internal & external stakeholders to facilitate operational efficiency.
- Maintaining accurate records in various Business Management Systems (BMS);
- Undertaking administrative tasks to support operational activities and enhance service delivery.
- Ensuring compliance with AMS Group's policies and procedures to uphold safety and regulatory standards.
While prior operations experience is advantageous, it is not essential. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, including those with experience in maritime operations.
