Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer and manager of the Osborne Naval Shipyards, supporting the Commonwealth’s Naval Shipbuilding Plan. ANI is responsible designing, constructing and managing the shipyard infrastructure, including the new Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard to support the AUKUS program, and operating and maintaining common use facilities.
ANI has an opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician - Mechanical to join our dedicated Operations team at the Osborne Naval Shipyard.
We are responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the Shipyard, including the largest Shiplift in the Southern Hemisphere, our large fleet of Self-Propelled Modular Trailers (SPMT)
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining ANI plant and equipment, fault finding and carrying out repairs
- Undertaking maintenance activities to support the docking, un-docking and transfer of vessels and other maritime structures.
- Maintaining up to date Safe Work Method Statements, contributing to hazard identification and risk registers.
- Assist with services rollouts and dry berth setup.
About you:
You will have maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment, completed an apprenticeship and have sound fault finding, maintenance and hand skills. Proven experience with Hydraulics and Heavy Vehicle Maintenance will be an advantage.
You will enjoy working with a small and flexible team and bring a personal commitment to your own safety and that of your team mates, and strong interpersonal skills.
