About The Role
As an independent contractor you will primarily be on the road responding to consumer service calls which will be assigned to you via our Service Allocation Team. Diagnose, repair and service domestic appliances, together with completing job administration on your company issued device. There will also be occasions that you will assist other Technicians with larger jobs, at all times providing a high level of customer service, ensuring all equipment is tested and calibrated in accordance with industry standards.
What You'll Do
- Service and Repair domestic appliances
- Daily interaction with Consumers and Retailers
- Working closely with Service Allocations Team & Field Service Manager
- Manage spare parts and van stock to enable first visit resolution
- Manage route planning and sequencing of jobs
- Accurate & timely completion of service jobs via company issued technology
- Adhere to all work, health & safety requirements
Who You Are
- Hold a relevant License & Certification to comply with state Legislation
- Business registration (ABN)
- Current Public Liability Insurance ($10 million)
- Workers Compensation Insurance (if applicable)
- Availability & flexibility to cover a metropolitan service area
- Laundry, kitchen, or white goods experience advantageous
- Sound technical knowledge of appliances to diagnose and problem solve
- Skilled in proper use of tools, equipment and gauges to ensure optimal use
- Excellent customer service and effective communication skills
- A genuine enjoyment of building rapport with consumers and delivering a positive experience
