Description:

Dara Wellness Services is a part of the Dara Disability Services Group as a newly opened allied health centre who are passionate about people, community health, and giving evidence-based client focused care.

Comprising of Accredited Exercise Physiologists, Dietitians and Physiotherapists, our company is committed to NDIS, community health care, chronic disease prevention and physical rehabilitation.
In this role, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of our clients by providing person-centred assessments, interventions, and support to maximise their independence, functional capacity, and overall well-being. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy services that are aligned with best practice and individual client goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive client assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to address daily living skills, mobility, sensory processing, and community participation.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative programs and services.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy
  • Current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience working as an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist, preferably with experience in the disability and/or aged care sectors.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Strong commitment to person-centered practice and client empowerment.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of clients with varying needs and diagnoses.
  • Experience in assistive technology prescription and home modifications desirable.
  • Knowledge of the NDIS and other funding schemes desirable.
