Northern Territory Major Events Company (NTMEC) first began in 1999 and set about to deliver and support major events from the Top End down to the Red Centre.

As Content Producer you will work as part of a multi-disciplined marketing and communications team to bring our events to life with dynamic and engaging content, under the direction of the Senior Media & Communications Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement content calendar for NTMEC and its portfolio of events to build advocacy, awareness and generate media coverage.
2. Create engaging content for a variety of platforms, including websites, social media, earned and owned media, radio, television and corporate publications, all while adhering to brand guidelines and supporting marketing initiatives.
3. Work with organisers of NTMEC-supported events to identify and produce content that promotes both the events and NTMEC’s involvement, ensuring alignment with overall messaging.
4. Coordinate logistics with external talent, stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure seamless collaboration. Oversee project timelines and budgets, while fostering positive relationships.
5. Provide detailed and effective briefs to film crews, outlining the projects vision, messaging, and objectives for each content production.
6. Provide support in the preparation of media releases, briefings, and correspondence, including Ministerials, Legislative Assembly Briefings and service agreements, if needed.
7. Proofreading and editing of variety of marketing assets and other content as needed.
Selection Criteria:
1. You’ll be a natural storyteller with a bold, creative approach, and a good understanding of how people consume content.
2. You’ll be a good collaborator who can work in line with NTMEC style guides, our brand and tone-of-voice guidelines.
3. Ideally, you’ll have a journalism background with extensive experience in generating written content.
4. You’ll have strong industry experience, with knowledge and understanding of festivals and events both in the Northern Territory and nationally, and an understanding of the role events can play in attracting visitation.
5. You’ll demonstrate project management skills through your experience working with media, government, business and key stakeholders, including local communities in the development of projects and/or events.
6. You’ll be a go getter, able to work alone and manage content projects on location.
7. Ability and willingness to work outside normal working hours including public holidays and weekends as and when required to support events delivery.
