About the role


ARRCS are actively sourcing a Return to Country Support Officer to join their team on a full-time basis and attracts an hourly rate of $35.17 - $38.37 / hour gross base (dependent on skills and experience). Based in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, this role will see you supporting operations of the program through driving, maintenance, cleaning, and servicing of our Troopy vehicles.


In addition, you will provide administrative services for the program including logging of data for reporting purposes, booking of vehicles, management of logbooks, record keeping and customer service to clients and families wishing to use this service.


This role would ideally suit a proactive person who is comfortable working autonomously with minimal supervision. You will have excellent computer skills and enjoy coordinating and organizing bookings. You will ideally have experience working with First Nations and have strong cultural knowledge. In addition, you will enjoy customer service, this role will require you to be the first point of contact for many of the consumers using this service.


In addition, you will be able to travel, when required, to remote communities with possible overnight requirements.

Skills & experience


To be considered for this role, we will be looking at the following experience and qualifications:




  • Demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture values and social health issues.
  • Experience in the provision of support and advocacy to Aboriginal families.
  • Current manual NT Drivers License.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work productively with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence to respond to queries both on the phone and via email.
  • Demonstrated previous experience in an administrative capacity with intermediate computer skills.
