About the Role
Reporting to the Site Manager – Panorama or Elizabeth, this position is responsible for day-to-day cleaning requirements of Bedford sites while providing training and support for a small group of employees with disability, helping to achieve their workplace goals while maintaining a safe and encouraging environment.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Support people with disabilities to achieve their workplace goals
- Having a “hands-on” approach to ensure employee support needs are met and cleaning objectives are satisfied
- Documentation of employee training progress
- Maintain a high level of work health and safety standards
About You
You will have an empathetic and supportive attitude towards people with disability, as well as a strong desire to help others. You will have the ability to train and supervise others and experience using cleaning equipment and chemicals. To be successful in this role you will need a positive attitude, exceptional organisation skills, and strong written and verbal communication.
Other knowledge, skills and attributes include:
- Strong attention to detail
- Proactive/solution based attitude
- Patient, caring and supportive approach
- Experience working in the disability sector
- Hands-on cleaning experience
- A National Police Clearance (no older than six months old)
- Driver’s licence
- NDIS worker screening clearance, or other NDIS approved clearance to work in the disability sector
- Evidence of right to work in Australia
- 100 points of identification
