About the Workday Functional Specialist Role:
- Maintain local Workday configuration
- Work with Global Team around global Workday configuration
- Administer business process tasks and manage local change requests with the Global Team
- Support the ongoing maintenance and development of the Workday system
- Perform any testing required, particularly as part of the Workday R1/R2 releases
- Provide support to stakeholders regarding the user experience of the system
Background and Experience required:
- Workday key modules: Core HCM, Compensation, Absence, Talent & Performance, Recruiting
- Desired to have knowledge with additional Workday Modules: Time & Attendance, Learning
- Familiar with Workday reporting, report writing and dashboards
- Proven experience working with Workday
- Strong generalist HR background with a solid understanding of HR systems and operations
- Experience within construction materials industry
- Problem Solving & troubleshooting
- Attention to detail
- Comfortable managing complexity in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Intermediate + skills in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in training and building knowledge within teams
- Ability to work autonomously and in teams
- Experience in process mapping and analysis
