About the Job:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Lawyer to join our expanding Wills & Estates team. This full-time role is based in our Geelong CBD office, with regular office hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

As a Lawyer in our Wills & Estates department, you will be a vital part of our team, engaged in a diverse range of estate planning matters. This will include: drafting simple through to complex testamentary trust Wills, preparing Enduring Powers of Attorney, providing superannuation deed advice and preparing binding death benefit nominations. You will also obtain Grants of Representation (including Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration) and manage the day-to-day Estate Administration of your estate files.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct estate planning and administration tasks, including drafting testamentary trust Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney.
  • Provide advice on superannuation deeds and prepare binding death benefit nominations.
  • Obtain instructions and gather asset information to facilitate obtaining Grants of Representation including Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Manage client files, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to deadlines.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Minimum of 2 years post-admission experience in Wills & Estates.
  • Well-developed communication skills.
  • Solid drafting skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise tasks.
  • Capacity to work autonomously or as part of a team as required.
  • Aptitude for fostering and maintaining strong client relationships.
