About the Role
Are you a detail-oriented and organised professional seeking a rewarding role in payroll? Look no further than Baptcare, a leading not-for-profit organisation in the heart of Melbourne, where we are seeking a dedicated Payroll Officer to join our dynamic Admin team.
As a Payroll Officer at Baptcare, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of our employees' salaries and entitlements. Your responsibilities will include:
- Accurate and efficient processing of fortnightly payroll, including employees covered by various enterprise agreements and award structures
- Assist with end of day processing and pay slip distribution
- Maintaining and updating employee records, including leave balances, tax details, and superannuation contributions
- Resolving payroll-related inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Relevant experience in a payroll or finance-related position, ideally within the not-for-profit or healthcare sectors
- Tertiary Qualification in Administration or similar
- Understanding of Taxation, Superannuation and Workcover legislation
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for accuracy
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- A customer-focused approach and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
