The role:

This newly created People Operations Specialist role will support the People team to manage the employee lifecycle, payroll and have a key focus on documentation and optimisation of processes. This role will also be responsible for ensuring employee data is accurate for payroll, and reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administer the employee lifecycle, covering onboarding, off-boarding, and internal movements, while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Interpret and apply awards, employment legislation, company policies, and procedures to ensure HR compliance.
  • Support global payroll processing by ensuring accurate and timely updates to employee data, timesheets, and employment changes across multiple regions.
  • Develop and distribute regular HR metrics reports, such as WGEA reporting and responding to ad-hoc reporting requests.
  • Engage and maintain collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders to support business needs.
  • Support the Head of People & Culture in delivering quality HR practices and initiatives.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in HR operations, generalist HR, or a similar role.
  • Experience as a super administrator for an HRIS (e.g., Rippling, Workday, BambooHR, Employment Hero, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, employment laws, best practices, with the ability to understand and interpret awards and employment legislation.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in HR documentation and reporting.
  • Proficiency in payroll-related administrative tasks and HR data management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
