About the Role
Join our Work Injuries team as a Lawyer (2+ years PAE) on a full-time, permanent basis. In joining the team, you will become part of our experienced group of specialised Lawyers who are passionate about extending justice to everyone who needs it. A key focus of this role will be to provide a seamless client experience, supporting our clients to get favourable outcomes.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, diligent, client-focused Lawyer with Work Cover experience. You will have sound legal technical skills and be experienced in managing your own file load, with demonstrated decision making and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meeting with clients, and taking instructions
- Review and analysis of records
- Drafting written communications to clients
- Briefing medical experts, and allied health professionals
- Drafting court documents
- Attending court for procedural hearings
- Briefing and liaising with barristers
The experience we are looking for
We are looking for those with a strong client focus, that approach each client with compassion and empathy along with your drive to get the very best outcomes for our clients. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:
- 2 + years post admission experience (PAE)
- Experience working within a personal injuries’ environment ideally with a background in Work Cover / Work Injury matters
- A strong knowledge of the relevant procedural rules relevant to personal injury practice in Victoria
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated proactive approach to file management
- Strong attention to detail and the Civil Procedure Act
- Understanding of the Court Processes
- Excellent interpersonal skills with experience providing high level client service
