What your days might look like
As our PR & Corporate Affairs Lead, ANZ, you’ll help drive our mission to make employment easy by executing impactful PR activities across both traditional and non traditional media and influence government and industry with insights that help inform better decisions on behalf of small business, employers and job seekers.
You’ll play a key role in collaborating with senior leadership, overseeing execution across cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with our broader corporate and marketing objectives.
As our PR & Corporate Affairs Lead, ANZ, you'll:
- Create and manage a high-level, strategic PR plan, including goals, tactics, results analysis and timelines that is aligned to Go-To-Market plans and activities
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key government officials, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders
- Monitor and engage in industry-specific legislative, regulatory, and policy discussions to ensure the company’s interests are represented.
- Develop and execute advocacy strategies that position the company positively with governmental and industry bodies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to navigate complex public affairs issues, including public policy advocacy, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
- Monitor news trends, brand perception and competitor positioning using online social and media tracking tools.
- Prepare media reports as needed using media measurement tools.
- Build and maintain relationships with key media, influencers and analysts
- Proactively create media opportunities for the company and regional executives to comment on relevant industry topics, trends and competitive stories
- Continuously be leading discussions around how best to stay top of mind with journalists and non-traditional media, and how best to become a constant presence in relevant coverage and online
- Manage and collaborate with our PR agency to create innovative media campaigns and thought leadership that stands out from the crowd
What you will bring:
- 8 years+ of experience in public relations, corporate affairs, or a related role, with a focus on government and industry stakeholder relations.
- Proven track record of developing and managing successful relationships with government officials, industry groups, and regulatory bodies.
- Expertise in advocacy, policy development, and public affairs communication.
- Deep experience in media relations and strong media contacts in the ANZ market
- Experience creating and implementing successful PR campaigns and can show us examples of work that you're particularly proud of.
- Proven experience in working closely with regional Go-To-Market teams and the ability to plan and execute impactful PR campaigns that align with GTM campaigns
- Experience measuring and reporting on media coverage and can develop insights and recommendations from the results.
- A keen eye for detail, ensuring all content that goes out externally is strategic, on-brand and valuable to our audiences.
- Proven ability to prioritise, multi-task and manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, and are committed to working to a high standard.
- The ability to confidently liaise with senior stakeholders and business decision-makers, and hold yourself accountable.
- Curiosity, are a team-player and can build supportive and collaborative relationships.
