We are seeking an Employment Consultant to work collaboratively with our allied health professionals in Sydney to assist clients develop job seeking skills and obtain new employment.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?
• Support clients to develop confidence and build their skills to transition into new employment.
• Helping employers to find the right person for the job, through reverse marketing and cold calling.
• Using your strong interpersonal skills to proactively build and nurture strong relationships with employers
• Provide important education on employment barriers and community stigmas prospective employers
• Assess client job seeking skills and support them to complete job seeking independently
• Build collaborative relationships with employers, insurers, and customers to secure employment opportunities within local communities and across Australia

ABOUT YOU
The successful applicant for this rewarding and challenging position will be able to demonstrate that they are independent and self-motivated and enjoy working within in a diverse environment across a wide client base. As well as the following:
• Have previous experience in Employment Services/Disability Employment Services roles
• Experience in Occupational and/ or Vocational Rehabilitation or the health industry would be highly desirable
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients in order to assist them to gain new employment, often in a new industry
• Understanding of the local labour market and established employer relationships (or proven experience developing such relationships)
• A positive disposition and a passion for assisting clients to secure new employment
• You will enjoy working with people and fulfillment in supporting clients to achieve their goals
• You are motivated and enjoy working within in a diverse environment across a wide client base to achieve successful rehabilitation outcomes
• Experience marketing clients to prospective employers via a hidden job market and sourcing work trials, host employment or new employment opportunities
• Current driver licence and willingness to travel
