We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years' experience to join our highly regarded Banking & Finance team. The focus of this role will be on securitisation and structured finance transactions.
Our Work
Our Banking and Finance team act on a wide range of high-profile banking and finance transactions, working with prominent domestic and international banks, global investment banks, major corporations, project sponsors, mezzanine financiers, and private equity firms. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client base, including major banks (both for their treasury and origination teams) and non-bank originators.
Our Banking & Finance team is known for its extensive knowledge and expertise. You will have the opportunity to work closely with Partners Ian Edmonds-Wilson, Paul Smith, and Daniel Bragg, who have a wealth of experience. They are dedicated to developing the skills of team members and fostering strong client relationships at all levels.
In this role, you will have a high level of responsibility and client contact and the opportunity to act as deal counsel, drafting and structuring transactions for clients across different asset classes and programmes.
Who we are looking for
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in a highly regarded banking and finance practice and an understanding of securitisation and structured finance transactions, along with a strong desire to specialise in this area of law. Exceptional analytical, communication, and research skills are essential to contribute to the delivery of prompt and commercially astute advice. Proficiency in drafting various legal documents, including financing and security documents, opinions, and advices, is a must.
A commitment to delivering excellent client service and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships are crucial. You should demonstrate enthusiasm for engaging in business development activities, such as participating in industry programs and cultivating strategic relationships and networks.
As a team player, you will collaborate effectively with colleagues and develop strong internal relationships to facilitate teamwork.
Attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple transactions and meet deadlines are essential for success in this role. Adaptability to new challenges, along with professionalism and integrity, are also key attributes we value.
