Objectives of Position
•Produce parts from metal, materials using a press brake, a computer numeric controlled (CNC) piece of equipment that makes precision bends by performing the following duties.

Reads and interprets Technical Drawings, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences.
Prepares and pre-sets all tools needed for machining operations.
Mounts, aligns, and secures tooling, attachments, and work piece on machine.
Assembles tools in tool holders and positions tool holders in machine magazines.
Conducts prove-outs and manual programming during setups as needed.
Starts machine and monitors displays and machine operation to detect malfunctions.
Stops machine to change tools and setup according to required machining sequence or to measure parts for conformance to blueprint/drawing specifications.
Enters commands or manually adjusts machine controls to correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance folding.
Discusses control media errors with supervisor or programming personnel to resolve problems.
Cleans machine, tooling, and parts.
Performs machine daily maintenance.
Perform periodic checks on output
Look at finished product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for next step in production
Tools are stored and handled to not damage tool or oneself

General
To comply with the operational responsibilities unique to the position as outlined in the attached schedule.
Collaborate and communicate with team members to create an enthusiastic and motivated atmosphere where staff work with a sense of urgency.
Support management in the process of workplace reform, service competitiveness and the achievement of objectives by proactively working to improve operational efficiency.
Carry out additional tasks within your skill set as assigned by the Supervisor / Manager.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience (Essential Criteria)
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and understand drawings
CNC Press brake Operation experience including Set up experience
