Key Responsibilities Include
- Providing leadership and mentoring to a team of recruiters, ensuring best practices in talent acquisition.
- Managing the end-to-end recruitment process: job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
- Sourcing candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, and proactive headhunting.
- Partnering with project managers and department heads to understand workforce requirements and provide tailored recruitment solutions.
- Talent pool management and optimisation; demonstrating an understanding of the candidate market and aligning talent for future opportunities with Austal.
- Develop and execute strategic recruitment plans to meet project staffing needs.
- Ensuring a seamless candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
- Staying current with industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition.
- You thrive in fast-paced environments, effortlessly managing multiple tasks.
- Proven experience in recruitment and talent acquisition.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, demonstrated resilience, reliability, flexibility, and values teamwork.
- Sound emotional intelligence and proven ability to exercise excellent judgement and strong critical thinking.
- Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, workforce planning, and developing talent strategies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using recruitment software and HRIS systems - previous experience with Martian Logic would be advantageous.
Ideally, you are currently in a team lead position; however, we are open to considering a successful Senior Recruitment Advisor who is eager to take the next step in their career and dedicated to leading a small team. While this role is primarily focused on leadership and requires a strategic mindset along with a drive for process improvement, the lead will oversee a portfolio and will be required to manage the end-to-end recruitment function.
