Mechanical Fitters:
We are seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters to join our team. The successful candidates will be involved in shutdown work, maintenance and installations, based at our client's industrial sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Local work and opportunities to work away.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install mechanical systems and equipment according to specifications
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Keep accurate records of work performed
Qualifications and Essential Criteria
- A trade qualification in Mechanical Fitter
- Highest commitment to maintain a safe work environment
- Display initiative and have the ability to work autonomously & as part of a team
- Show commitment to high quality workmanship and customer service
- Be able to work onsite at Boyne Smelter Limited, and or QAL, RTAY, QMAG
- Have the ability to pass a pre-employment medical (Blue/Yellow Medipass and coal board)
- Ability to attend and complete client site inductions and site compliance training
