We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide assistance and support to individuals with disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping clients with daily living activities, providing emotional support, and promoting independence and community integration.

About the Role:

Our client is currently looking for casual/part time Support Workers who are passionate about making the daily lives of those living with a disability brighter and supporting their families. The Support Worker's role is to support the delivery of high quality care to participants by working collaboratively with our client and other team members. Specifically Support Workers will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out daily activities at the Day Options House and out on location as required
  • Providing respite care for families and caregivers of those living with a disability
  • Providing daily living support, including attending to personal care needs, cooking, cleaning and daily activities
  • Supporting people to access the community
  • Supporting people to achieve their individual goals

About You:

  • A positive, reliable, patient, empathetic and proactive approach to supporting people of all ages and backgrounds living with a disability
  • Enthusiastic, caring and kindness.
  • Experience is preferred but not essential for the right candidate.
  • Excellent communication and rapport building skills
  • Flexibility to work on a casual basis, including shifts on weekdays, weekends, evenings, and nights (flexible for the right candidate)
  • Hold a valid drivers license with no limitations (essential requirement)
  • Right to Work in Australia (essential requirement)

Ideally you will also have:

  • Completed or be close to completing a certification in Individual Support (Disability or Ageing) or Community Services
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR training
  • Police clearance
