Role Overview:
As a Structural Engineer at Ingenia, you will:
• Apply your structural engineering expertise to design structures and buildings that meet project requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues, including engineers, drafters, and technicians, to develop detailed design drawings and calculations.
• Act as a point of contact for clients, managing project deliverables, timelines, and budgets with a focus on exceeding client expectations.
• Engage in design status and coordination meetings with clients and contractors, utilising your strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships.

• Review and provide input on modifications to design drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Generate technical documents, including design specifications, reports, and documentation, to support project outcomes.
• Assist in estimating project structural effort, drawing upon your project management experience and analytical skills.
• Conduct client meetings and site inspections as required, demonstrating professionalism and attention to detail in all interactions.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
We are looking for candidates who possess:
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success in the field.
• A degree qualification in structural / civil engineering.
• Strong technical knowledge and design skills, with proficiency in structural analysis software including SpaceGass.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• Project management experience, demonstrating the ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Some experience with the management of project budgets and schedules, including client management.
• A proactive and dynamic approach to problem-solving, with a keen eye for detail.
• The ability to travel locally between sites as required.
• Sound knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and regulations.
• Full Australian working rights.
Desirable Skills:
Candidates with the following additional skills and experiences will be highly regarded:
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit (or 3D CAD systems).
• Hands-on experience with construction or project engineering.
• Previous experience managing projects and building client relationships.
• Registration with Engineers Australia.
