Position Overview:
The System Analyst will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and improving systems to enhance business operations and client experiences. This role involves analysing system requirements, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring our digital platforms align with industry standards and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate periodic discussions with colleagues to identify and address any requested system modifications and enhancements.
- Investigate and assess business processes, procedures, and work practices to identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze operational inefficiencies, recommend streamlined system functionalities, and implement solutions to address identified inefficiencies.
- Make the deployment and change of functional solutions by creating, and implementing comprehensive system tests.
- Validate system performance, functionality and stability through comprehensive testing after each change and deployment.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive user training documentation and ensuring they are well-documented, traceable, and prioritized.
- Conduct professional training sessions for colleagues to enable system adoption.
- Prepare detailed and clear system specifications to guide system developers in creating effective solutions.
- Collaborate closely with system developers to design and implement improvements for websites and system functionalities.
Skills and Experience:
We are looking for a candidate who possesses:
- A bachelor’s degree plus relevant IT vendor certificates.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience as a System Analyst/Engineer in a commercial environment.
- Previous experience working for an Australian insurance firm (highly desirable).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders and translate technical requirements into actionable solutions.
- A proactive attitude and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
