Moree Plains Shire Council is seeking a highly motivated individual to work within the Parks and Open Spaces Team as a Sports Turf Trainee.

  • Temporary Full-Time (24-month traineeship) – 38 hours per week
  • Location - Moree
  • Attractive weekly salary starting from $920.10 (PLUS Superannuation) depending on qualifications and experience

The Sports Turf Trainee role is a 24-month training and development career opportunity aimed at individuals who are self-motivated and driven to make the most of this opportunity to excel in their career.

ABOUT YOU

Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications:

  • Commit to undertaking a Certificate III Sports Turf Management (twenty four month traineeship) and to undertaking a 24 month on the job traineeship
  • Demonstrated team work and communication skills.
  • The ability to learn the operation of plant equipment in a competent and safe manner.
  • Good understanding of safety in the workplace.
  • Sound literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Relevant experience in the Labouring environment.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and multi-task.
  • General Construction and Induction Card
  • Hold a minimum current Provisional Class C Drivers Licence
  • Ability to provide evidence of vaccination/immunisation
