About the role

Satori Law, a boutique Family and Commercial law firm, is seeking a part-time (3 days a week / 0.6 FTE) Lawyer to join their team at their Chelsea Heights office. As a Lawyer at Satori Law, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality legal services to our diverse Family Law and Commercial client base. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a range of legal matters, contributing to the firm's continued growth and success.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing legal advice and representation to clients in the Family Law, Commercial and Criminal jurisdictions.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis to support the preparation of documents, contracts, and other legal instruments.
  • Drafting and reviewing various Family Law legal documents, including but not limited to Binding Financial Agreements, Affidavits, Court Applications and ancillary court documents, as well as general correspondence.
  • Drafting and reviewing various Commercial Law legal documents, including but not limited to Shareholder Agreements, Business Sale Agreements, Commercial and Retail Leases and Joint Venture Agreements, as well as general correspondence.
  • Representation of clients in Family Law, Criminal and Intervention Order matters.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Providing exceptional client service and building strong relationships with clients.

What we're looking for

Degree in Law and admission to practice as a Lawyer in Australia. Minimum 2-3 years of post-qualification experience in Family Law including advocacy. Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience in Commercial Law. Experience in Criminal and IVO advocacy would be advantageous. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Commitment to providing high-quality legal services and exceptional client service.
