Naga MoonThe Head Chef is responsible for the overall kitchen operation, including managing kitchen staff, ensuring high food quality and safety standards, developing new recipes and menus, and providing leadership in the kitchen. This position requires excellent culinary skills, leadership abilities, and the ability to manage kitchen resources efficiently.

Task & Responsibilitiesplanning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food suppliesbe responsible for quality control and tasting the dishes; making sure they are at the rightstandard and are presented correctly before they go out to the customerdiscussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dieticians and kitchen and waiting staffdemonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedurespreparing and cooking foodexplaining and enforcing hygiene regulationsmay select and train staffmay freeze and preserve foodscreate a vision for the cuisine, inspire your team and delegate tasks effectivelyrecruit, motivate and manage staffoversee the day-to-day running of the kitchen, order food and undertake the kitchen inventory(this potentially includes budgeting)oversee hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchenprepare and plate dishes and have an input into menu design.
Qualification & ExperienceAppropriate qualifications such as AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma[ANZSCO Skill Level 2] at a minimumA minimum of at least 2-years formal experience may substitute for the formal qualificationslisted above.Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment
