About the role
As a Procurement Officer with SA Pathology, you will play a pivotal role in managing and streamlining procurement activities across multiple financial years. From biomedical equipment to critical reagent consumables, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring our pathology laboratories are well-equipped and fully compliant with Treasurer's Instructions and Procurement Services SA Policies. With responsibilities extending across diverse procurement requirements, you'll collaborate with various teams and apply your specialised knowledge to deliver efficient, effective procurement outcomes.
In this role, you will focus on asset procurement for pathology laboratories, navigating a range of technologies while offering guidance and support to internal teams. You may also oversee staff from various career groups, providing leadership in key functions tied to procurement services, asset replacement, and process optimisation. If you're a detail-oriented professional with expertise in procurement, compliance, and asset management, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact within South Australia's health system.
About You
We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Procurement Officer. You will bring:
- Strong Communication and Analytical Skills: Effective written and verbal communication across multi-disciplinary teams, critical thinking, and the ability to analyse complex information and meet deadlines.
- Extensive Experience in Procurement and Contract Management: Expertise in tender processes, contract governance, maintenance services, and technological improvements within government or private sectors.
- Comprehensive Knowledge of Procurement Practices: In-depth understanding of government procurement structures, contract lifecycle management, and healthcare or pathology industries.
- Exceptional Attention to Detail and Multi-Tasking Ability: Precision in managing multiple priorities, delivering outcomes, and upholding safety and compliance standards.
