  • Base Salary Range: $68,478 - $102,240 p.a
  • In addition to base salary, this position attracts Superannuation, Leave Loading and Salary Sacrificing Benefits ( salary packaging ).

Service:

Allied and Community Health Service

Our Allied and Community Health Teams are multi-disciplinary teams who work together towards the common goal of improving health outcomes of our community members. Services are based in Port Augusta and Whyalla, with regular outreach clinics held in Roxby Downs, Quorn, Hawker, Maree and Leigh Creek. We offer a wide range of centre-based, in-home and community-based services to people of all ages and tailor our services to best meet our client needs. About the Role:

Join the dynamic Regional Child Health & Development Team as a Speech Pathologist (AHP2) and bring your clinical expertise to the forefront! In this exciting role, you will apply your growing generalist and specialist knowledge to plan, implement, and evaluate a wide range of services tailored to the unique needs of the local community.

With the opportunity to work under reduced clinical direction, you’ll play a key role in supervising and mentoring less experienced allied health professionals, assistants, and students. As a vital member of a diverse, multi-professional team, you'll collaborate with health professionals and service providers across various sectors, utilizing a blend of preventative care, early intervention, therapy, and evaluation approaches.

Under the guidance of the Regional Clinical Senior Speech Pathologist (AHP1) , you'll contribute to delivering integrated, community-centered health services, making a meaningful impact on the health and development of children. Looking for a change in scenery? – Allied Health

About You:

  • Must hold a recognised qualification within the Speech Pathology profession, and be eligible for full membership of the relevant allied health Professional Association.

AHP1:

  • Provide a broad range of clinical services, selecting and applying well-established methods, procedures, and standards.
  • Exercise professional judgment within prescribed areas, with support from a Clinical Senior to verify methods and results.
  • Deliver straightforward clinical services, including one-on-one, group, and health promotion activities.
  • Manage and prioritise personal workload effectively.

AHP2:

  • Provide professional services to client groups in complex situations, applying both generalist and specialist knowledge.
  • Exercise professional judgment in selecting and adapting established methods and techniques.
  • Offer clinical and consultative services across various settings, including individual, group, and health promotion activities.
  • Manage personal workload and support others in workload management, including resource allocation.
